Previously, Windows users were offered the WhatsApp web application for the desktop, as well as the ability to access messaging through the web version directly in the browser. The new app is native to Windows, which WhatsApp explains should make it faster.
How to send and receive WhatsApp messages from Windows / Mac?
WhatsApp is one of the best messaging apps that supports text, audio and video text messages between mobile platforms. This app supports almost all mobile platforms like iPhone, Android, Windows Phone, Blackberry, Nokia and Symbian.
In addition to a user-friendly interface, this application is equipped with convenient features for mobile users, such as message delivery status information, the ability to monitor mobile data usage, and more.
Update: The WhatsApp team has launched dedicated apps for Windows for OS 8 and for MAC OS X 10.9 or higher. You can download the app directly from the download page of the WhatsApp website. After downloading the app, you can sync the app with your smartphone by scanning the QR code as we described in this article for WhatsApp web app.
The WhatsApp team is rolling out a new version of its app to all users; WhatsApp WebApp. This web application is similar to a mobile application that can be used to send text, audio and video files, and synchronize messages with the web browser and mobile mobile time.
WhatsApp recommends using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox for best performance, especially for media transfers. At this stage, the WebApp supports Android, iPhone, Windows Phone, Blackberry 10, Nokia S60 and Nokia S40.
No need to log into WebApp to access Whatsapp messages. The WhatsApp team has made this process very easy, the only thing you need to do is scan the QR code from the WhatsApp website with your phone to access the web version of your WhatsApp account.
Open the WhatsApp WebApp website
To use WhatsApp WebApp, go to this WhatsApp WebApp link from your computer browser and you will see a QR code on the site to scan from your phone.
WhatsApp will then access the camera and allow you to scan the QR code from your computer browser.
Connect the WhatsApp web app
After scanning the QR code, your WhatsApp account will automatically open your computer browser, no need to worry about the account or other time-consuming procedures.
You will now be able to send messages and other multimedia files from your computer just like you used to with your phone.
Exit WhatsApp Web App from mobile
On the screen of the WhatsApp phone, you can see information about the registered computer. You can log out of the remote computer using your WhatsApp account by visiting the WhatsApp Setting screen of your mobile phone (Menu on Android).
Download WhatsApp Web App media files
This web version offers the same features as the WhatsApp mobile app. You can drag and drop any media file into the web app to send the file, and you can easily download any media file from the chat by clicking the download icon in the web app.
WhatsApp Messages for Windows 10 or MAC OS
Windows 10 start to support the notification function like MAC OS. WhatsApp has already integrated this message feature with its WebApp. Enable desktop notification option can be found on the left panel of WhatsApp web version.
Once you turn on notifications, your computer will notify you when you receive a WhatsApp message if you’re signed in to the web version. You can turn off notifications permanently or for a certain period of time from the browser itself by going to the notifications window.
With the help of a web browser, the web application can use any PC platform such as Windows, MAC or linux. This feature is very handy if you like to type messages on a computer keyboard instead of using tiny mobile keys.
